Our Specialist view of the Lenovo ThinkPad X250 laptop
The Spec:
With quite a few 12.5” laptops in our arsenal, it would be unfair to leave out the refurbished ThinkPad X250, which has the following spec: The same great 12.5” backlit HD display with a 5th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM and a reasonable size 500GB mechanical hard drive. Along with this is a webcam and Windows 10 Professional preinstalled.
The Good Bits:
Lenovo didn’t change much from their already impressive ThinkPad X240 and why would they. They managed to blend portability; usability and expandability so as the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! The addition of a slightly more recent 5th Gen Core i5 processor is welcome, as is the physical left and right click buttons just below the keyboard as opposed to having them built in to the mouse pad on the X240. The rest of the X250 is more or less identical to the X240, so a big thumbs up from us.
The Not So Good Bits:
Much like the ThinkPad X240, it’s a solid and unspectacular spec that runs Windows 10 without a hitch and will cover everyday home, business and educational requirements without thinking twice. If you’re looking to game on it it’s important to remember it won’t run Fifa or Call of Duty so check the requirements of the game you want to play.
The Design:
With it being almost identical to the ThinkPad X240 there isn’t anything different we can say on the design, which we think is offers a really good combination of carbon fiber material and build quality.

And finally, to draw another comparison to the ThinkPad X240, with Windows 10 Pro it offers so much to both business professionals and students alike.
