Our Specialist view of the Summit 8 x 21mm Binoculars
What we think of the design:
With our limited experience with binoculars of any type, these Summit binoculars are compact and easy to take around more or less anywhere with you. They also feel surprisingly tough though that was without any actual field use.
What’s good about it?
The 8x magnification and 21mm objective lenses make them ideal for popping in your pocket and heading out for a walk and some bird watching or general wildlife watching. There is a wheel in the middle for precision focusing for trying to catch a glimpse of the elusive Blue Tit at longer distances.
Are there any drawbacks?
There doesn’t seem to be any waterproofing so certainly worth keeping an eye on the weather whilst using the Summit binoculars.
Are there alternative products available?
Horses for courses with binoculars, in that there are lots of different types available that are suitable for lots of different pursuits, including the Summit 8x 21mm binoculars.
