Our Expert review of the Mpow M5 Pro Bluetooth Headset with Charging Station
What we think of the design:
Mpow have given us a functional wireless headset that isn’t the prettiest and does look like it belongs in a call centre. What is it though is supremely easy to use and very comfortable to wear on either ear. The volume and answer/end call buttons are placed within easy reach without having to take the headset off to use them and accidentally press the other. The magnetic charging base is really convenient for simply dropping the headset on for a quick charge if the battery is running low.
What’s good about it?
We like lots of things about this Bluetooth headset. Calls are surprisingly really clear and even the connected person at the other end noted how clear the call was. We also really like that the mic wasn’t fixed in position so if we didn’t get a call for a while meant it could be flipped up and out of the way. The secondary and probably even better function to this is the call muting. There is no need to fiddle with your phone or handset to mute a call. The best bit for us is the charging dock. The headset can be dropped in and taken out so easily.
Are there any drawbacks?
Honestly none that we could tell from first using the headset.
Are there alternatives?
There are lots of different headsets available but for those that offer that many different functions, we’ve found little competition.
