Never one for normally leaving feedback, felt compelled to do in this instance. Firstly, I have purchased from Morgan several times over the years and always found them to be very efficient. As for this monitor, I wanted it to enhance a new computer I had recently made for myself. I have always used twin monitors, and up until now they have been 17". As soon as I took this HP out of the (very well packed) box I could tell it was a quality product. The adjustment mechanism was a delight 'sliding' into position effortlessly. As soon as I had plugged it in, it auto-configured itself, Windows found it and installed the driver. Within just a few seconds it was up and running sitting alongside the remaining 17" monitor. Having looked at a lot of monitors prior to purchasing this one I can safely say this HP is excellent value for money. I can wholly recommend it.
Very nice screen and well packed.,
Very pleased with the HP 2205 after a few days of use. Have been using a 4:3 ratio CTX for years but the price of this one gave me the excuse to change. Was very well packaged in protective bubble sleeve, with corner foam protectors, in a huge box. Morgan also included a brand new sealed monitor cable which I didn't expect. Very good service guys.
A very nice screen, a good stand too but I couldn't figure out how to align it correctly, pointing at the ceiling wasn't much use. A phone call to Morgan sorted it, it just needs a firm pull beyond the stops and it flips up.
Excellent tilt and swivel screen,
Bought this with a 5% discount - on top of a competitive price, this is really good voalue. Excellent condition and screen, and the pivot screen is really useful for pre print work. Slight bore in that my KVM prevents the driver software from detecting the screen, but just ditched the kvm, and stuck a usb keyboard and mouse on the Monitor. All in all a most satisfactory buy, at less than £80 delivered. The improved quality and brightness compared to my other cheap monitor is really marked. Buy one while you can.
This product would have got at least four stars but the first one delivered was faulty and unreadable. To be fair to Morgan on being told they arranged pick up and replacement ... The replacement is excellent, so far, and good value for money.
HP LA2205wg 2 inch monitor ,
The monitor is in first class condition, the only clue it is second hand is the residue of a sticker on the top and 4,000 hours on the backlight. Setting up was straightforward, I am using a HDMI cable with a DVI adaptor in the back of the monitor. The 22 inch widescreen is a good size for the home office, big enough to be productive with large Word documents but compact enough to not intrude. It renders photographs well too. The built-in stand is unusual - the base gives you a sculpted tray to put things on, and so the unit does not waste any desk space. The monitor is a much better design than the Dell or similar kit put on the typical engineering lab desk in industry ... very pleased with my purchase.
Cool in portraitmode with KDE desktop,
Works on ARCH Linux desktop PC with the KDE desktop in portrait mode. The PC has the Intel chip set and loads the i915 driver and so far has not given any problems.
Fast delivery and very good product/price,
This was a replacement for an older LCD monitor in our office. It arrived by next day delivery, extremely well packed. The monitor could not be faulted with no marks on it. Person it was for liked the fact that they could adjust the height of the screen as this was a problem with her previous monitor. She used to ghet migrains but has not had one since using this monitor. It is so good that I have ordered one for my 2nd desktop at home.
HP LA2205wg Widescreen Monitor,
I purchased this particular monitor as I had used one until I retired last year. It arrived well packaged and in good time. It replaces a 17" CRT 4:3 monitor. Although refurbished the monitor had noticeable scratches on the bezel and two chips out of the screen. The chips are well out of eye-line for normal work so I accepted it. The back light had logged 1624 hours when it was delivered. The unit came with a VGA DIN 15 pin connector which gives an acceptable picture. I took the time to setup the monitor using test software downloaded from HP which resulted in a much lower brightness picture than the unit had been set to. Although it is possible to buy a slightly larger monitor (new) for about half as much again, I decided to go with tis purchase as I have always found HP monitors to be reliable and sturdy. I am pleased with the result, and have used the built in USB hub to make a tidier desktop configuration for my mouse. I may use the remaining port to add a USB camera in the future. The adjustment on the screen (raise, lower, tilt and swivel) is excellent and enables me to operate two screens alongside each other (for document editing). The monitor was correctly identified by Windows 8 Pro (32bit) and the drivers loaded automatically; it works well with Windows 8. Although the monitor would swivel into Portrait mode I have never used it in this way. I have been using it for about 10 days and can recommend it for general computing (particularly with Windows 8) and flight simulator use, but do take the time to set it up properly - you only need to do it once!
Good product and very responsive supply,
The monitors are in excellent, as-new, condition and perform extremely well. The speed of supply by Morgan Computers was impressive.
Well worth the money!,
Being used to similar sized screens at work, I decided to order the HP LA2205wg for home use. I am really pleased with it and mainly use it with my Toshiba Satellite, via an HDMI to DVI-D adaptor along with a second monitor, working off the VGA. The result is very satisfying, allowing me to work much more easily than via the laptop monitor when editing a magazine. Delivery was as stated and the monitor arrived in good condition. I consider it money well spent.
