Good value, quick service,
Print colour is a bit thin and pastel colour, and black is just really really dark grey. Does this mean that it is very economical with ink? too early to tell. Everything else is brilliant. Scans well, prints fairly quickly, touch screen is fine. I can print from my Ipod, and Ipad wirelessly, as well as through the usb cable. All in all much better than the expensive Lexmark printers that I have been struggling with for the past two years. Should have got one of these long ago. Delivery very quick. Price is right too.
Great value for money,
I am really pleased with my Brother printer - it was easy to set up as you are guided through the process after inserting the start up disc. The free printing cartridges are an added bonus, worth more than the cost of the printer! You really can't go wrong with this deal. It is a large printer though,so you do need to have space for it!
This printer is a little behind current printers in terms of print quality (colour) and print speed but at this price what the hell. It is a perfectly adequate colour printer.
Good value for money; so far so good. Cartridges seem to last for a reasonable life which makes the economícs worthwhile. Only downside - weak colouring on some picture printing.
Good value, easy to use A3 Printer,
It's an A3 printer, so quite large. I managed to get it set up and working with my PC via wireless in about 5 minutes. Print quality good, scan/photocopier functions and software work well, and very easy to use. Not tested fax function. Had printer about two weeks and not used enough ink to test how much it uses. Very pleased with my purchase and it arrived in a couple of days.
The Brother printer is very high in functionality and connectivity and includes (Apple) Airprint and Google Cloud print, both of which work very well. The networked nature of the printing/scanning/PDF conversion is very easy to use. There is a firmware upgrade available via download that adds internet email and internet fax capability as well. Most people wouldn't use this, however, it does work (if you need it). The print quality is good (though not exceptional). I have set the printer into it's highest quality mode and unless i am printing a lot of pages, the speed reduction isn't be a problem. Auto duplex is a nice paper saver. Overall, if you weren't getting the inks, it would be good value for money. With the inks, it's an astonishing deal and I can't see any downside... This is the third "free" Brother that I have bought. Two of them were because I needed more inks for previous purchases and I wanted the inks - but I got a free printer anyway!
...and AirPrint too!,
Been eyeing up an A3 printer for a while. This unit is large because of A3 size but is selling at the usual high street stores for 20%+ more. Setup is easy (there's even a place to store the ink cartridge packer for future use) and WiFi especially so if your router supports WPS - a few button clicks and it's networked. AirPrint is standard once networked and pops up in your iDevice print menu without the need for a PC (I confirmed this with Brother support before purchase). Although AirPrint works directly sans PC GooglePrint however requires a logged in Chrome browser session so it isn't as elegant - blame Google but you can print from ANYWHERE if you leave your PC and printer on whereas AirPrint is local to the router. I've tried colour copying on plain paper and it's passable (this is with the IJT inks and I've played with quality and density settings) - it's not the same as my old HP machine who's copy you can't tell from the original but print a photo on (Morgan's) A3 glossy paper it's very good. One neat feature is the card reader which not only can print from the card you can also scan direct to the card as well - something I wished I had on my old HP. The document feeder is not duplex even though the printer is - it will do single to duplex print and even multipage per sheet. The paper tray is internal for A4 size with a flip out catcher (about 10cm extended). For A3 the tray magically doubles in size and sticks out of the printer by about 12cm (+the catcher) so you'll need a table/area about 3x A4 widths deep and 2.5x A4 widths wide to seat it comfortably. Powerwise it uses between 10-30watts when printing/copying and at rest 5W. This lowers to 3W when it dims the touchscreen and then to 0W, yes it failed to register on the meter, when it goes to standby. A press of a button or a print and it's online again. With A3 duplex printing there is a margin of 2cm or so at top and bottom of the page so it can turn the sheet. This is vastly reduced on single sheet printing. 4 stars then because of the copy quality but a great 'big' printer!
Great Printer For The Price,
Had been looking for a good A3 printer for some time having had two in the past. Saw this on Morgan & thought it was a great deal. Delivery was excellent & support from Morgan when I had a fwe problems with cartridges was excellent. Well worth the money even if, like me, you don't need the fax function. Will be posting this on FB
So easy to set up. I have not had the opportunity to use all of the functions but normal printing in colour is very acceptable for speed including double sided printing. So far I am very happy with my purchase.
Looking for an A3 printer and going through the usual stores online and finding the printer I was looking for was quite steep in price. I was about to give up when I went onto a side link and ended up with Morgan Computers. What a stroke of luck! Fantastic price and delivery was within 72 hours from ordering. Brilliant product with ease of setting up although downloading the software seemed to take quite a long time. Morgan, thank-you for the service and the product. I shall return for my consumables.
Does what it says on the tin!,
Print seems excellent, setup straightforward and it's a FAX to boot, which I had not realised before it arrived. What's not to like, especially at this price?!
very good printer - but large,
Happy with this - easy to set up and the quality of the prints and scans is very good. It is a very big machine and you need to make sure that you have enough room for it. The included cartridges give a good result (although I haven't printed anything on photopaper yet).
I bought this printer to enable me to print plans and a few posters at A3 size. Previous A2 printer died and as I do not do a lot of this work now couldn't afford a replacement A2 printer. This offer came through at just the right time. I was a little concerned at what I would get for FREE. I agree with last comments. Simple to set up. Simple to use. Brilliant results. Brilliant value.
I have only had the printer a little over a week. Delivery (to South-West France) was excellent - and, although it was specified - I was amazed at the quantity of ink provided! Set up was easy - even for this old boy - both wireless and network connecting was a breeze. It seems to be an excellent piece of kit - and extraordinary value for money (FREE!!!) Haven't checked out colour A3 printing yet - but A4 colour and B/W look good. The scanner works well and saving wirelessly to my laptop worked well. Have yet to check out the fax. All in all a great bargain and to be highly recommended.
So far so good. As usual excellent service from Morgan.,
Order was delivered very quickly as I've come to expect from Morgan. The printer was very easy to set up and print quality is good. I've become a fan of Brother printers as the cost of (unbranded) ink cartridges is very low compared to some other brands and the machines are of high quality. I think this is an absolute bargain for an A3 printer.
Only had it 1 week so far but it's top notch. Easier than I thought to set up for wireless, document feeder was something I hadn't appreciated from the product spec - this makes scanning so much easier. It has so much specification for the price ( £0 !) - just got to trust that the own-brand inks are good, and so far they're looking just dandy :)
